It's been a pretty weird week.

I found out that on of my co-worker's friends has gone missing in Napal. He has some friends going there for a wedding and they invited him to go along. He had been posting pics daily to Facebook of everything he was doing almost every day. But last Monday his sister got a call from the US embassy there that his friends reported him missing. Apparently on Saturday night he wanted to have a cigarette so he walked away from the group so the smoke wouldn't bother them. When he didn't return after a while they went looking for him. They found his hoodie, 1 shoe, and his wallet laying on the ground. The embassy says it looks like he was kidnapped. They are hoping to find him or at least get some sort of ransom demand. The family who threw the wedding has put up a bit of a reward for his return. Hopfully he will be back soon. This is all just to surreal, especially when I've had drinks with this dude a couple of times. My co-worker is using her free time to research the issue online to see if she can find any helpful information. Hopefully she turns something up.

Yesterday, I had some out-patient surgery. There was a defective oil gland on my head that was producing oil but not releasing it so this mound formed under my scalp. It wasn't painful or anything but the doctor and I decided to remove it since it would just become bigger. So now I'm at home resting for a day. It hurts a bit, but no big deal as long as I take some asprin and such. The good thing is that they didn't really shave the area where the opperated so I don't have to worry about a bald patch for a month. Just got to keep it clean so it doesn't become infected. But there is a bandage on it right now so don't expect me to have a cam on in chat for a bit.
