My buddy and I got there Wednesday night where we got registered and wandered around a bit. I eventually stumbled across this guy:
Thursday I didn't make it into a single pannel I wanted... well, I was only looking to get into the Robot Chicken pannel that day and it got filled up. So I did some wandering around and checked out the vendors and costumes and such. I did manage to get a copy of "Who Killed Amanda Palmer" for my friend... and even better, I was able to get Amanda Palmer to sign it too.
Sorry about the blury pic, someone that isn't used to my camera took the pic... it's kind of tempermental... hell, even I take a few blury pics. I also got to meet the cast of The Guild.
Felicia Day is so cute in person... and a bit of a chatterbox.
Friday I went into the Farscape 10th Anniversary pannel and the Eureka pannel. I also stumbled into the Sparticus pannel... it's a new tv series coming out on Starz. Looks like a cross between 300 and Gladiator... but since I don't get Starz I won't really be able to watch it. But I was totally stoked that I got to meet John Barrowman from Torchwood.
Later that night Anthony and I met up with some friends for some late night drinking at one of the nearby hotel bars. Yeah, it was hard waking up Saturday morning to get back to the con.
Saturday I went to the Angel pannel for the comic book series. The best part was that Juliet Landau showed up to talk about the story arc she co-wrote. I even got her to sign a copy of the 1st issue of that arc.
Sunday was a quick short day because we were totally exhausted and also wanted to avoid most of the traffic that would ensue as the con let out for the last day. I did get to see the BEST pannel of the whole convention... the DR. WHO pannel!!!
David Tennant was pretty amusing. It'll be a shame to see his last episodes as The Doctor.
As for the costumes... I only took pictures of the ones I thought were good. I've got them all in my album I posted for all my pics. But I do have to say, I think this one was my favorite.
Hopefully those of you who have not ever gone to this event will have the opportunity to do so. I highly recommend it as this was my 5th time going.
