I'm back... and in one piece.
Had a good visit with my family but as much as I love them, after a while with so many people around all the time I just need to find a nice quiet place to be alone.
So a quick recap...
I flew to San Jose on Wednesday getting there in time for Christmas Eve at my aunt's house. Had sooooo much good food.
Afterwards, my younger brother's family stayed the night over at my parents because they have the tradition of openning presents Christmas moring there. Of course this means little kids waking me up around 7:30am asking when are we going to open presents. Later on in the day, my older brother came over with his family. Then after everyone took off for their other locations, I went with my parents to go visit my grandparents. I have to make it a point to do this every time I go up there. My grandmother is suffering from alzheimers and getting worse and worse every time I see her. The last time was last Easter where she recognized me but had trouble remembering my name... this time she was much worse. She didn't even have a clue who I was. I can't believe her health went downhill so fast.
Friday was spent at home with the family again, but in the evening my cousins from out of town came over and I got to spend some time with them. I even went out with one of my cousins and her new boyfriend for some drinks. I was great to get caught up with her since she's always been like my little sister.
Satuday was more family time at home with more family member coming over.
Then today my family got together for brunch and then I was off to the airport to return home.
I finally have plans for New Years Eve. My club is going to be in full force. So if anyone in the LA area wants a cool place to go on New Years, I suggest you go here.
I hope you all had a great holiday and made it back home safely.

I'm really sorry to hear about your grandma. I went through something similar with my great-grandpa. Not something that should ever have to happen to anyone.
