Completely exhausting weekend.
Friday I went off to Underground. I have to say, the Echo is slowly killing the club. They did some sort of promotion with Camel cigarettes where they "decorated" the smoking patio, gave out free shit, set up a photo booth, and set up a fake airbursh tattoo booth. They basically made the whole night lame. My friends got bored and we all left early. I never used to leave early at the old location. I think I've done it 5 times at this one.
Saturday, I was off to some charity autograph thing with Anthony. He always likes going to those things, so we hung out there for a little bit, he signed some stuff to be auctioned off, and we met some of the latest Survivor cast members. Then we realized we hadn't eaten all day, so we rushed to grab a quick bite to eat and then it was off to the pre-party for the finale. Damn that place was packed. I am glad I got to meet Bob who ended up winning the whole thing since they flew him off back to New York for some interviews right away and couldn't go to the actual finale party. We stayed drinking the whole night until the bar closed down. I finally got home around 3am.
Sunday, I was up late, chatting online, then rushing around to get out to my friend Rupert's place to watch the finale before we all headed to the party. Soooo many people showed up to the viewing. I'm amazed we packed us all in to Rupert's LA apartment. Of course the drinking began there, then after the show was over some people headed over to the CBS party (which they never threw for anyone of the other past seasons... hmmm) and others headed over to the actual finale party. I thought the location was going to be cool because it was the old location for Underground... totally revamped. I totally didn't recognize the inside. But they offered the place for the party because they want to become this big upscale place where these kind of parties happen. Well, I can tell you there is NO WAY IN HELL that will happen now. For some reason, they decided to book a second party for the night when the finale party was supposed to be a private party where no one could get on unless they were on the list. As it turned out, they filled up past capacity and half the new cast memebers (who the party was for) couldn't get in. Anthony, since he was the one who spent all the time organizing it, was PISSED. Yeah... and since he works with tv shows now and sets up parties like this, he will pass the word along to NEVER book anything at The Crown Bar in Hollywood. I sure hope the extra money was worth it to the owners. Anyways... rant over... they party was still fun. I only paid for one drink the entire night, then I got hooked up by one of my other friends who set up a bottle service table.
We ended up staying until they closed the place down and everyone rushed into cabs because the weather decided to rain. By the end of all the rushing, Gillian (one of the new cast members) and her husband still didn't have a ride back to the hotel. So I gave then I ride back. She is the sweetest lady every... with the mouth of a sailor. Picture Mrs. Doubtfire swearing up a storm where "fuck" and "shit" were included in most of her sentences. So back at the hotel we went up to the room where the after party was, and continued drinking. Around 4:30am I decided I should head back home since I was having a hard time staying awake. I think I crawled back in the door around 5am.
Now I'm just trying to recover today. I'm gonna be a couch potato and hang out online all day.
Hope your weekend was great.
Oh... I'm too lazy to post the pics from the night here... you'll just have to go to my folder to see them.
