So wow, it's been longer than usual between posts. Mostly because nothing too interesting has been going on except getting extremely tired and finally catching up on rest.
But now I'm in the week of stupidity... and it's contagious.
I've been dealing with issues at work because people who get paid FAR more than me refuse to think for themselves, make stupid mistakes because of it, and I end up having to fix those mistakes. It's like the larger your income the less you have to think.
But now it's been spilling over into one of my co-workers. Although, she wasn't that bright to begin with.
Here's a sample of a conversation she started with me this morning... and there is no elaborating... it's pretty much word for word.
Co-Worker: "I need you to be on the look out for food with calcium in it... I need to eat things with more calcium."
Me: "Um... ok"
*I walk to my office*
*co-worker shows up at my office door*
Co-Worker: "I got these sesame seeds, the nutrition facts say there is calcium in them... maybe I'll eat these today."
Me: "Um, I don't think sesame seeds are meant to be a meal on their own... from what I've seen, they are usually just added to other foods for flavor or such."
Co-Worker: "Then why is there calcium in it?"
Me:
Me: "They don't add calcium to them when they are packaged... they grow like that!"
I later looked it up... this whole conversation was over 9% of your daily recommended value from a 1 cup serving size. I think there are better sources of calcium than that to even bother bringing it up.

Please launch your co-worker into the sun. It would be a world service I think.
