I'm This Many Years Old!
Challengers had it's 1 year anniversary party last night and gosh darn it, I went!
Dal and Ashley making silly faces (I hope they were making silly faces.)
Pat and Donovan. Notice their wrists - glow sticks! More on that later.
It was full open bar and Robert, the bartender from Club Lago, was pouring that evening and he poured strong. On my first drink I honestly thought, "Was I supposed to say 'When'?" I was buzzed after that drink and decided to moderate to non-alchy for the next few hours. Yes, hours. I did have more but the last thing I wanted to do was be hella drunk in the store. I'm not saying Pat and Dal would have minded but it's not a drinking establishment and they're not properly equipped. On the food end they had chips and eastery peeps.
They also bought a Challengers Birthday Cake. Ashley is touching the one good portion of that cake. The fondant (I'm not even sure it was fondant) was very thin and stretchy like a skin on soup or gravy. Inside it was a yellow cake with berries and the berries didn't taste right.
Only one person thought the yellow cake was tasty.
The smoker's crowd.
Luke talking on the phone and Pat. Hadn't seen either since I crashed Pat's Bachelor's Party.
Mike is good, Chris is evil. In comics things are black and white.
Steve and Jenny. Jenny's giving her props to the King. That's Kirby btw.
Meg-egg-an had the perfect level of drunken munchies to wolf cake down at the end of the night. She just stuffed her face with huge pieces of cake, so much so that she needed to wipe off her face and hands at the end. It was hilarious.
I left around 12:30 and gave Luke and Nicole a ride home. We left at the same time and they had just missed the last bus. Poor Nicole had to sit in the messy back seat of the Cooper which has no room back there as it is so I felt bad. Nicole and I had independently taken extra glow sticks to make glow necklaces and in the darkness of the car, discovered they weren't very good but this prompted her and Luke to discus her rave days.
Stopped off at the grocery store on the way home and bought milk and ant traps cuz I found ants in my bathroom yesterday morning. I looked over the stuff I bought, 5 trades and a coffee table art book and discovered it was 3AM so I went to bed.
Good Times. Today I will see Pat, Dal and George again for several hours for Wrestlemania 25!
