Allllllright. Well, let's see, what is there to catch up on?
Friday I was supposed to fly home in time to go to dinner with my boyfriend for his birthday, but due to Murphy's Law and incredibly shitty weather, I missed my connecting flight in Baltimore by 10 minutes and couldn't get on another flight to California until the next morning, putting me home just before 1pm on Saturday. ANYWAY, after lots of freaking out, some amount of crying and pissed-offedness, my mother booked me a hotel downtown and I got me some diner and liquor to calm down. Actually getting home the next day was awesome- my boyfriend picked me up, the sun was shining, and we hung out in Santa Cruz a while before meeting up with my parents who bought us lunch. Then I got home and got to see my dog- I LOVE MY DOG. She's awesome. Also, gorgeous- kind of irrelevant, but still true.
Then things got a little... weird, I guess, on Sunday. My bf's dad is in town for a few days (his parents divorced when he was like, 12 or 13) and has been wanting to meet me so he took Daniel and me out to dinner Sunday night. He's a nice guy and all, but it was interesting and a little strange to see the dynamic Daniel has with his dad...
Anyway, in other more delicious news, I made and decorated a cake for Daniel since I missed his birthday and it was excellent, if I may say so. It seems I have some amount of untapped talent in baking, haha.
That's about it for now, I'm just glad to be home for a while- nothing quite beats sunshine, pets, and kisses.
Night lovelies.
