The Geek Abides...
Lucky me I got to spend the day with my sister-in-law, who for the purposes of this blog I shall call.....drum roll....
The LIttle Black rain Cloud...
I was awoken this morning, my princesses BDay btw (keep that in mind it will be important later) at the crack of dawn by the lovely sound of the rain cloud blowing her nose... repeatedly... in the hall (personal thing, I put the Kleenex in the bathroom cause that is where I would like you to use them), for over five minutes (I assume she went into the bathroom for more Kleenex and came back out to serenade us). She then invited herself along to The Avengers, my daughters birthday movie pick, then complained about the showtime we chose, and that we were going to see it in 3D again my little ones choice (apparently she does;t think that 3D films work? I lost interest after she said that and took the youngling and ran to the LCS for Free Comic Book Day where I beamed with pride as my daughter dove under a grown mans arm and grabbed the last hardcover Mouse Guard book and then yelled that it was her birthday when he tried to convince her to give it to him, she will make a fine geek.
After the movie the the rain cloud spent the evening bitching about the quality of the film, my daughters choice of dinner spots, and finally that my daughter did not want to sit up in the living room with her.... which made perfect sense to me all she had done all day was bitch who wouldn't want to hang out with that.
So I have uninvited her from the Bday festivities tomorrow, telling my brother to remove her from my home ASAP. I will not have her ruin the kids party by complaining about the weather, texture of the picnic tables, or quality of the rubber in the tire swings.....
anyway, maybe it is just the way she reminds of the kids mom, for whom nothing was ever good enough, or maybe the fact that my current GF is SSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not that way, unfortunately she is working all weekend and will not get to celebrate with us for a few more, night nurse plus new relationship equals crappy schedule conflicts.... so most of this probably just a rant for rantings sake.... hope all are enjoying there weekends, and that you don't have little black rain cloud following you around.
