Weeks off to a good start...
mainly cause my under experienced principal is staying the hell away from my students. For those who might not know I work with special needs kids with severe behavior disorders and my program was recently switched from the school that it has been in since its inception and the principal who concieved it, to a new school across town, so far as we in the program can tell to skew the numbers in favor of more government aid. So instead of being in a new building with staff who are used to my students and their particular quirks, we're tacked on to a new staff who have no idea what who we are and what we are about. To be honest I think they have heard the rumors about some of our kids; most come to us from other public school in the area, where they were to difficult for the staff to deal with; and are scared of what they have heard. Although lets be honest if a 6 year old throws a chair at you, calls you names that would make a sailor blush, and runs off down the hall screaming like a banshee, you probably did something to set them off. I suppose I"ll start talking about ti a little bit more if only to get it out... I'm not one who can leave my work at work.
But like I said a quiet beginning to the week, no seizures, no fist fights, and no parents had to be called. Now lets just hope it continues we have a field trip in Thursday, most of these kids don;t get taken places a lot for one reason or another, so they are always interesting.
In other news I saw Kevin Clash on The Daily Show tonight, always surprised to see the voice of my favorite little red menace come out of his mouth.
I love my Iphone 4S, don;t miss the android at all, and much to my surprise I"m actually using Siri more and more. Our soon to be robot overlords will no doubt please with the ease with I speak to them.
To those who may be interested Neil Gaimen and his oh so lovely wife Amanda Palmer are going to be on Craig Ferguson on Halloween.... and Ms. Palmer is going to sing I assume Neil will be witty, charming and oh so very British.
this thing has rambled a bit.... so music and then I'm out.... how Casey Crescenzo from The Dear Hunter
Later all... hope all and everyone in your lives are well and as good to you as my Princess is to me
