I was at kmart last night (or the mall as they call it in Indiana) with my roommate Curtis. At check out the lady asked if he wanted to donate to March of Dimes. He said, "Not tonight." How about a different night? I inquired. Come on, if you're not planning on ever giving money to a charity, just say no. It saves time and effort. "Not tonight" is three syllables. Tack on a "sorry" and suddenly you're up to five. A simple "no" is just one syllable. The same goes for dealing with bums. False hope is a terrible thing.
Don't say you're sorry if you aren't. Don't say you want to be friends if you don't. Don't say you'll call if you won't.
And don't say you'll love me forever if you won't even love me long time.
Don't say you're sorry if you aren't. Don't say you want to be friends if you don't. Don't say you'll call if you won't.
And don't say you'll love me forever if you won't even love me long time.
