today was meltymeltymelty.
after work, i ate some ice cream and stopped at the legislature grounds and splashed in the fountain with 7 year olds and then read a book in the shade. it was a stereotypically picturesque summer afternoon, and i was completely unaffected.
to elaborate: i feel as though i should have felt all relaxed and langourous and... i don't know. but i was nothing. i was just reading a book, waiting to bike home. taking up time until all my time is taken.
am i letting go of my illusions, or just finding new ones?
