Well let me start off by saying that I got the job at The Children's Shelter.
I start on Monday with my training, which is gonna take 4 days. But it's all worth it.
But on another note I was witness to a drive-by.....more like a hit. That took place no more than a few feet away from me.
It took place outside a bank. My mom, sister, nephew and myself were waiting in her truck. Her fiance was in the drive thru depositing some money. I was playing with my nephew in the front seat. I noticed earlier that a car parked next to us but no one ever got off, but thought lightly of it.
By the time I knew it I heard the first gunshot. I turned to see were it was coming from, as I was turning I glanced in the rear view mirror and saw that it was the guy parked next to us in that little car. He was completely covered up, to make it impossible to ID. He had blocked off the guy leaving in a black Cadillac Escalade. In the instant I had looked he already had the AK-47 pointed at him releasing the second, third and fourth round.
While all that was happening in those few seconds my mom and sister freaked out and had no idea what was happening. As soon as I heard the second round I knew what was going on. Even before my mind processed all the information. I yelled at them to get down. I instinctively grabbed my little nephew from my lap threw him on the floor and covered him with myself.
My mom and sister too scared to look up asked me if it was o.k.? I looked up to see if the coast was clear. The hitman had left and I looked and the gentleman in the Escalade. He had tried to escape but reversed into a fence and got caught. He was laying there in his seat covered in blood. I passed my nephew to my sister, who was crying. When I looked back he had stumbled into the bank. I looked to my mom's fiance and made a gesture to him that we were leaving.
What a way to start off your Friday huh?
