I've managed yet again to go an insanely long time without the smallest of updates, so consider this a scattered summary of the past week or so:
- On Tuesday (the 9th), Cat corraled me into random adventures, ending in supper and drinks at Annie's. Annie and I seem cool now, which doesn't surprise me that much. I never could hold a grudge, least of all while as incredibly happy as I've been.
- One long weekend, spent mostly waiting for her. Watched "School of Rock," and how the mighty (Richard Linklater) have fallen. Liked it, but I'm sure I wouldn't have if I wasn't an uber-music geek...and dead certain that rock and roll can save yourself. Also enjoyed Seasons 1 & 2 of Mr. Show, read a lot. Didn't see anyone, but whatever.
- Monday, cleaned and waited for Rebekah. The proceeding couple of days were some of the best of my life. Highlights: dancing in a pouring rainstorm, discussing philosophies at AFG over iced drinks.
- Experienced the wild, wild west as only Valley City can deliver. Had hoped for more than the 6 hours of J-Po that I got, but we take what we can get. The J-Po and Connor shit may finally become a permanent Twin Cities feature next year. Twin Citians, fear for your lives (and especially for your performance artists).
- And now I'm home. Passed out at 1 yesterday, still managed to sleep to 12. Would normally consider this slothy behavior, but I needed that. Spent most of the day playing with the various pets, missing Bekah. Recently returned from a cigarette run, one of those packs bought with a hastily assembled pile of found and borrowed nickels and dimes. Rode to Valley Dairy on my Mom's bike, an old-fashioned looking, pretty blue number. Single speed, all in all nicer than the 15-or-whatever speed bike I inherited.
I'm still tired, and I still miss someone.
JC eat your heart out.
End transmission.

charlatan:
Never seen that flick. I hid from it when it came out. Looks too corny for taste, although rock can save you. I can prove it.
