An example of the craziness of the U of St Thomas: tomorrow being All Saints' Day, someone's been paid to chalk the names of saints all over our sidewalks. The major problem is that last year I decided I'd get some chalk and make fun alterations, i.e. "St Benedict can suck my balls," or "Saint Lucia gives great head." But this won't happen. The only thing that undermines my evil is my damn laziness.
I'm listening to Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl." Why? It makes me happy. Go to hell.
The worst thing about getting to spend a little over 48 hours with your love: that those hours end, and leave you alone and with no idea when you'll get to see her again. I would wish for some consistency in her schedule, but how hypocritical would that be? Routine's a killer. Besides, I'm the one without a goddamn phone (I actually find myself reconsidering my vehement anti-cell phone policy; the things love does to you...).
In the next few days I'll find out if I can graduate in May. If I can, I will. Otherwise, I'm taking that time off. I hate to be a grass-is-always-greener brand of whiny ass, but I truly loathe this place. You have no idea.
This next weekend showcases visits both from my mother & from my best friend. Some timing. But it looks like it'll work out. Mom means some free meals, probably some extra cash. James, on the other hand, means a great deal of drinking and politically incorrect humor. Which makes me more excited? The answer makes me feel like a bad person, especially since I'm fortunate enough to actually like my mom, but...eh, there it is.
Take care, all.
