I may have left the Cities too early--I'm already feeling homesick. Granted, it's mostly the smoking in my apartment and my awesome shower I miss (aweful fucking shower in my mom's house, and with harder water than my apartment).
James and I have already rocked the town three out of five nights, including bar hopping for free birthday drinks on Monday. I finally experienced the glory of the El Roco, which at least played some decent pop, and the Borrowed Bucks, where an old guy in the bathroom asked me for change. What can I say, it was worth a bunch of free whiskey cokes, and something less of a nightmare than drinking at Rumours (did someone say 'shots,' James?).
Not that I don't like being here. Good food, great company, 3 cats and 2 dogs worth of fur. Yesterday afternoon I went over to my uncle's place to record my "station I.D.s" for his pirate radio station. I chose the persona of Oscar Wilde, did several takes worth and two separate I.D.s, and learned that I have an awesome radio voice. Then we put up the Christmas tree, watched Singing in the Rain, and I fell asleep.
Life is good.
