Why does it seem like every time somone says something in a thread there ae at least 3 people who want to ASSUME they know what that person means (when in reality they don't get the jist of what is being said) and they lash out?
I just don't get it...
I hate being mean to people and I hate it when someone is mean to me. I think everyone should be able to express how they feel about something without having to fucking defend themselves...
I am saying this in accordance to a thread that spellbinder commented in... he is the sweetest person and has never said a single thing that I have seen, that would require anyone to feel the need to attack, once again, I feel as though leaving SG is a good idea. I joined this place and the PSW group with the idea that there would be many people who shared my interests and ideals. I had hoped there would be very little of the harsh, abrasive, judgemental attitudes. Instead I find more and more each day.
On a different note:
Very few people in here know me very well, but those of you who do, know that I do not believe in organized religion. I have struggled with my beleif in god for quite a few years now. Recently I happened upon a TV show ( yes I actually watched TV) it is called " One Punk Under God" it is a Sundance Films production I believe. It is a story about the son of Jim and Tammy Bakker. His name is Jay and he has started his own church, called Revolution. He holds mass in a bar on Sunday, he has tattoos, as does his wife. He smokes...listens to secular music. He is real. Very much real. He embraces all people, even GAY people. Gay people have literally been shunned by Christians and most other religions all together. I wish that more people could think the way this man does. love ALL people as you would want to be loved. If you get a chance to see it. Check it out... It has me thinking about God again...something I never thought would happen.
