My Toledo trip continues
I have a presentation to make this morning to sell the services of a company I do some work for back home, and then I get to play tourist for the afternoon.
I think Im going to check out the Toledo Museum of Art. It seems that they have some things there that should keep me entertained based on their website:
some interesting 19th Century Japanese sculptures, as well as some Tang Dynasty pottery
paintings by El Greco, Cezanne, and Rubens
and some more modern works by Edward Hopper (who I simply find fascinating), Anselm Kiefer, the geometric patterns of Mondrian, and even some Modigliani.
Is it just me, or are midday escapes to museums, when the crowds are thin, simply the best?

variety:
I adore the times when I can stare at a painting of my choice, for hours if I'd like, without interruption. Unfortunately for me, since the town I live in has little to no culture, it's not often I get to see a truly brilliant piece of art. I'm so jealous!!!
