I keep getting alerts from Book Crossing informing me that new books have been dropped off in my neighborhood. But so far, none of them have made me want to leave my air--conditioned confines to rescue them from the park benches and hospital waiting rooms where they have been dropped off.

I'm getting this odd feeling that people are using that site to get rid of stuff they bought on a whim and are now dumping them after having moved. I mean, who really wants to read Jonathan Livingston Seagull?
