so, the SG GROUPS thing is sorta weird. I guess to each his own, but I thought I had moved past that stage of my life where someone wanted me to fill out an application with references in order to talk online with them and meet other people in my city. I guess you never know on the internet and better safe than sorry, and I'm sure there is a part of this whole community that enjoys exclusivity, but MAN, I'm so past the point of asking for permission from some cyber-bouncer before being able to cross the velvet ropes of the clubby on-line scene.

considering this is a porn site and some of the SGs go to gatherings, the "velvet rope" is there for the protection of the girls - and the other members. you may not be a psycho, but how do they know that? it may seem weird but the people in NYC are great so give them a chance even if you think the process is a little weird.
