once again, thanks to everyone for their sympathetic words regarding my car. quick update - i'm driving a brand new, 2004, shiny, red Mini Cooper at the moment! It's through a promotional campaign at work, and I have to give it back in March, but I"m totally in love. If ever a car was made for me....

I named her Lucy.
She's real nice.

Anyway,...

Holy geez! That is quite the car story. Like something out of a movie. At least you weren't car jacked.

Don't know about the car thing but I am just saying hi. What type of music does your band play?

my car was stolen a few weeks ago. right outside of my apartment. one week later (new years eve, no less) i got a phone call. it had been involved in a police chase, crashed into an electrical pole, flipped upside down, the transmitter on the pole exploded and the car caught on fire. the kids who stole it are in the hospital. i'm glad...

So last week I was at Copacetic Comics, you know, that tiny little comic/movie/music/book store hidden in Squirrel Hill with all the jazz cds and indie films and other stuff that only "cool" people know about, and I walked in while a guy I know was talking to the owner about experimental fiction. I rolled my eyes and looked for some...

This strikes a chord with me. I do my best to explain to people why comics, taken as an art medium, are just as valid as television or movies. But people refuse to listen, proclaiming that comics are still just "kids stuff."

While trying to "convert" people, I often forget how the comic culture itself has it's own pre-conceived notions about girls.
Argh. Too many battles to fight...

But good for you. Geeks today are getting way too big for their own britches!

got stranded in the snow last week on my way to my friend's art opening. corey and i had no choice but to admit defeat and stay cooped up in his apartment all night. i even saw a lady get hit by a car - it slid right into her! anyway, we were getting stir crazy, so we went outside to try to fix my...

Hey guys,

I'm sorry I'm so bad at this journal thing. Thing is, I have another online journal too, and it's hard enough finding interesting things to write about in one, let alone two! Does that make me boring? Poop.

Anyway, I love you SGPGH folks and I hope to meet more of you someday. Perhaps at 80s night? I'm somewhat of a regular there....
