Steps to making an annoying afternoon much more pleasant.
First, rant. Here we go. Public transit makes me ! Actually not public transit, just the idiots who take it. I took the Ctrain home from work today... The train was packed, and people were piling on. Now how hard is it to figure out that when there are a lot of people standing waiting to get on the train, you move into the aisles so others can have some room. Everyone was packed into this little area, and there were two people blocking the way to make more room. So I, having just worked all day and being rather short of the temper, ask the people in the way, "EXCUSE ME! Could you please move so others can get on?"
They looked at me like I was some kind of idiot. "Who is this small thing telling us what to do?!"
ROAR!
*pantpant*
They ended up doing it, and someone thanked me for yelling at them, so I guess it wasn't all bad.
Now back to the original point of this update: making the afternoon much nicer, I checked the mail today to find......
1. A postcard from punkpea from Nepal! (So very cool) and,
2. An official looking brown envelope from the government, containing a small sum of moneys! Yay! This comes at just the right time, as I seem to be a week away from payday, and with a smaller balance in the ol' account than I'd like. GST rebate cheques are grrrreat.
