I saw the funniest thing while I was waiting at a bus stop today.... A very large group of cowboys and indians, dressed to the nines (cowboys with hats, indians with huge feather headpieces!) all riding horses along the left lane of Mcleod trail. The most amusing part of this whole scene was the street sweeper driving behind them. Wouldn't want any horse poops on the road!

That and the fireworks, which I can watch from my roof, are about the only good things about Stampede time. The rest is just an excuse for people to dress up like idiots and get stupidly drunk. No wait, I get a free lunch next week, that's pretty alright.

We got caught in an epic thunderstorm Thursday night, which was an absolute gas... I got soaked, and splashed around in puddles, and was pelted by gigantic hailstones. I thought for a few minutes there I was going to get struck by lightning.... The only downside was that I was on my longboard and I completely ruined my bearings... though this was kind of the last straw, I ride in the rain all the time. So, last night I got new bearings and WOW! I'm in love with that board all over again. I have to remember to change them more often.
