so here i am in hilton head, south carolina. first i shall take you through the journey...
my roommate jen booked our flight on expedia.com for a flight out of La Guardia airport. her credit card was charged, we were packed, got a car at 5am to the airport. at the checkin desk, the woman tells us that we have . NO RESERVATION she fought back some tears because this just couldn't happen. well, we get expedia on the horn to see what the fuck is going on. of course we are connected to someone in india. (can't make out half the things they say) and they tell us that the card was charged but for some reason the seats weren't reserved! muther fuckers...
so we get jens mother on the phone, my mother on the phone (she always wants me to call her before i fly out) and see what they could do since they have access to the internet. we couldn't even eat because TICKETED PASSENGERS are only allowed in the land of airport food.
so we start checkin our options out - different time flights, different airlines, different airports! nothing is worth the money. i think the cheapest flight we found was $1,300 a person. to south carolina - NO FUCKIN WAY. would rather pay a credit card bill.
we find out there is a train the goes down there, and it only takes 17 HOURS! EAT MY ASSHOLE.
so on our defeated cab ride back to our apt. we toss in the idea of a roadtrip. jens mother is just soooooo determined to get us down there. we actually started talking about working for the week. at one point it was like, fuck it - ROAD TRIP.
had her parents make a reservation, got back to the apt., called another car service (our 3rd at this point) and went to the fort green area of brooklyn to an avis. picked up a pontiac grand prix and hit the road all by 9am.
the drive was nice, took some turns sleeping, ate some fast food, peeped in almost every state and made it here in about 12 hrs. the weather is beautiful but the resort is more family/ old people oriented. i wanna get wasted and chase people! but oh well.
so i shall post some pics of my adventures here soon. i was also thinking about making a short podcast of my SGNY meeting (first i have to figure out how to do that). ok enough for now. must go rub some sun screen on my body... any volunteers?!

Good so see you and your friend made it down there after all. What a disappointment that would have been....
