Turning a 18th Century Painting into a Photograph
As you know I have been working with @mikhailveter on different art projects. So this post is not about Helmut Newton but I still want to continue my photography blog on here and share creativity with you @rambo @lyxzen @charmaine @missy
We took the painting ‘The Blonde Woman’ by the 18th century academic painter Leon Commere and turned into an actual photograph. Léon François Comerre (10 October 1850 – 20 February 1916) was famous for his portraits of beautiful women and won several prestigious prizes for his art work, also in the United States.
@mikhailveter did an amazing job getting the outfit and accessories together and we met at my apartment to shoot for this project. The open brick wall in the building helped us recreating the background of the paining as well. He put a lot of effort and time into this picture and I am thankful to have been part of it. More creativity to come soon! Right after this shoot we went to the local rock gym and shot some more cool stuff there! I post a little preview of this on here as well.
