I love to eat there, working there might ruin the experience and that would make me sad. I am thinking of applying to a Lowes that was build nearby my house. I did HomeDepot for 5 years before I got sick of it and tried RadioShack but hey at least its decent steady pay and I know all about the field already wink

I really should not take my debit card with me to the bookstore:

Favorite Vegetarian Recipes for only $5.99 (so I can cook vegetarian meals for her)
Stephen Mitchell's Tao Te Ching (a gift for her)
Edith Hamilton's Mythology
Tracey Cox's Hot Sex: How to Do It (a gift for me for her)

I could spend a very great deal of money in not much time at most book shops.

We should have a synchronised profile picture changing. Maybe to ears? biggrin

Oh, man, I just bowled the best game of my life. 153

Strike, spare, strike, spare, strike, strike, spare, crap, crap.crap.

And I also bowled my best three-game series of my life. 366. (93, 153, 120)

This might also mark my first 300+ three-game series, too.

My next goal is to bowl an all 100+ three-game series.
syh:
Good luck with the 100+ three-game series. As bowler who ritually bowls (barely) three figures, I know this task is nigh insurmountable.
thefreak:
I haven't been bowling in too long. I'd love to bowl that good. biggrin

What I've read so far this summer (part 2):
On Bullshit (I forget who by, but it was really good)
Stephen King's The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger
Stephen King's The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three
Stephen King's The Dark Tower III: The Wastelands
(I can't seem to find my copy of IV: Wizard and Glass... it's a hardcover, shouldn't be hard...

The Dark Tower series is excellent. It gets weirder as the series progresses, though. Probably good to read while you're a little stoned.

Noam Chomsky reminds me that I have those two massive Disinformation books that I REALLY need to crack open.

I'm watching Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

It's delightful.

So far, I've caught references to War of the Worlds (heat ray sound), Star Wars(R2 sound), and The Day the Earth Stood Still (a lot of the robots look like Gort). And I'm only forty minutes in. And I'm not that much of a sci-fi buff.

Edit: Oh, and Godzilla. His silhouette...

I just realized that the line in "Party Up (Up in Here)" by DMX is:

You know who's gonna find you?
Some old man fishin'

I could never decipher that one until now.

Hey, in the Hendrix story, what's up with this sentence:

"He was last in his class for , was caught in the latrine playing his meat horn,"?

So...

I get to quit my soul-sucking office job at the end of the summer. My mom is going to subsidize my lifestyle with $75/week plus letting me live at home for free while she decides whether or not she wants to stay in Boston.

This is all because of the dogs. If I were to work, go to classes, act, and do my scholarship...

"Let's Get Small" is just as good (it came out a year earlier). I get the jokes mixed up now but both are all-timers.

I got the 60 gb - the prices went down because the new color generaton is coming out, so I got lucky. But now I'm like, do I really need that entire Promise Ring or Screaming Trees album taking up space? Would I ever listen to it again otherwise? It's making me re-evaluate the whole music-ownership thing now that it's a matter of disk space.
syh:
Heh heh. biggrin

It's a catchy tune.

I saw They Might Be Giants for the first time yesterday. It was pretty awesome. They were playing KidsFest, so they shied away from their standard material, but it was still awesome. They played one of my two all time favorite songs (NYC), so that was good.
Here's the playlist out of order, because I can't remember the order.
* No!
* Alphabet of Nations...
