Finally, a second to update this thing.
I found out on Saturday (I think) that I had this past Monday and Tuesday off. I informed Patrick of this and he invited me down. Pssh... 'course I'll come. Duh. I would have much prefered Sunday off, but hell, we gotta do what we can with the time we have.
I come into work on Sunday and our owner is there. She's usually there Sunday mornings, so she was just about to leave when I got in. She informs me that Jonathan (our GM) will be in between 9 and 10 to lock the doors. Kay. She then asks me if I've heard from him. Ummm... no. It turns out they hadn't heard from him since Friday and weren't sure if he knew he was supposed to come and lock up. I start getting a little pissed as I have a premonition of what's to come later on that night. I tell Shelley not to worry. I'll call him and make sure he knows. I'm cool like that.
So, Amy tries to call. And call. And call. All the while, getting the ever infuriating voicemail. I start bitching at anyone who will listen that I'm not gonna sit there and fucking wait for him after I have the GD restaurant all closed, that they should have given me a key a long time ago, and that I have things to fucking do. Bottom line: this is taking away from my time in Columbus. That will not be tolerated. I am literally throwing a fit at this point. :p
Long story short, I was done with everything at 10:30. He came in the door at 11:30. GRRRR!
While Patrick was at work on Monday, I went to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins. I got to go to my cousin Will's baseball game ( they lost unfortunately) and then we went to a restaurant where I couldn't eat anything but the lettuce. Oh well. It's still time with the fam, right?
Are they not the cutest family ever? They all have perfect lives, too. No really, I mean it. My aunt is an English teacher and cheerleading coach, my uncle is a fireman and Little League baseball coach, and my coousins are the two most perfect children you have ever met in your life. When they were little, we used to call them the Disney kids. It's all enough to make one but they are really great people and I love em.
I don't know how much detail to go into about my trip in general. I don't wanna embarass anyone, so I'll just say that I had an amazing time as always and didn't wanna go home, but I had to on Tuesday evening.
I ran into a little snag with my housing in Phoenix. And by little, I mean that I might be totally fucked. Hopefully I can figure something out, but I am freaking out a little
Blah blah blah. There was more I wanted to write about, but this thing is too damn long as it is. hehe
Until next time...
