You know, saying 'I'm sorry' is a lot easier to do than I ever thought possible. It's also lovely when people are receptive to your apologies and will forgive you even if you have acted a fool in the past. A hug from a person after a long time of hard feelings is a wonderful, fulfilling thing. Then again, I am a very huggy type person.
Case in point for forgiveness.
I've spent this entire week in training for my job... I've worked through my two days off just so I could have this training. It's run by a Lieutenant of mine who I use to be very close with... her name is Amy. For the past year and a half I've had a problem with this person because of another friend of mine.
This friend, named Kelly and Amy have had an unwritten animosity against each other for as long as they've worked at the same job (three years now) and for most of my time I've ignored their bickering and outright hatred since they never had any good reason to feel this way about each other. One day I was working a double shift at the prison and things happened where I was lead to believe that Amy had tried to play me off of Kelly in order to get us fighting with each other. Like a fool I didn't get both sides of the story and ended up pretty well ending my friendship with Amy.
Well, we never talked until this training, that she hand picked me for. Finally, after a year and a half of silence between us, we began to talk... and though things were very iffy for the first few days, we finally decided that it was stupid to not be friends... I mean, we're cut from the same pod.
And so we started going to lunch together with her girlfriend and another girl in the class... we started having eye contact again, and in that eye contact so many things were said without a single word being uttered. I apologized to her for being a silly male and listening to one friend rather than both, she accepted my apology. And finally, today at the end of the last class we hugged each other... she's got the strongest hugs I've ever gotten.
As they say, "To err is human, to forgive divine." Thank you Amy, for returning to my group of true friends.
Oh, and just let me say this since I know she nor the other two ladies will ever see this. I've got a bit of a liking for RaeRae. She's just so adorable and funny and she's a gamer chick. Ahh... to bad she's got herself a beau. *pouts* Perhaps in time... perhaps in time.

PS: Oh, and here's love for all who I feel I have a budding friendship with on here. LOVES YOU ALL!!! (You should know who you are, I've sent you messages.)
