In reality, besides the needless hoopla and Hallmark-directed resentment, Valentine's Day is just fine. Had a lovely dinner at a skeevy diner and some nice gifts too, including:

Today is the first real nice day in a long time, and it's killing me. From here on in summertime will be on the mind. Such a tease, such a tease. It's gonna snow again next week. I wish the earth would just spin a little faster...Then slow down before I get old.
