i've regained my faith in music! and now i'll explain...
i am a drummer, but for whatever reason i just dont play as much as i should these days, and i keep telling myself that one day something will somehow make me excited about it again and i'll pick it back up, but it got to the point where i said that so much i figured that i really was just bullshitting myself. but tonight, i was over at my buddy's house who has a ton of equipment in his basement, and we just kinda out of nowhere decided to go down and play. my girlfriend, who is an incredibly talented singer (not to toot her horn out of bias, she really is) was there, and i've heard her sing a million times, but i've never actually been involved. and she sang. and it was great. it sounded good, not perfect, but hey, who cares. and it gave me the feeling of wanting to play more for teh first time, probably in years. and best of all...i can now live my lifelong fantasy of drumming while a beautiful girl sings son of a preacher man in front of me. the best part was hearing her sing some songs she's written having to do with us, cause a. i've always admired her for being able to express herself so beautifully and b. i duno, it just felt great.
the line up:
bass:
guitar/vocals:
my baby. meghan (vocals):
aright...now i'm really just humouring myself...but hey who knows. and i'm just very happy to be happy to be playing again.
