So I'm back again. Just can't stay away.
I'm having a huge issue with my self-confidence lately. Becoming single again (a couple of months ago) has really screwed with my head. Even though the split was my decision, I've found that I constantly second-guess myself on it. I fucking hate dating! Gah!
Case in point: there's a woman I've known for a few years that I've always *really* enjoyed being around. She's the type of woman that just makes life interesting - huge heart, always something fun to say, loves beer, we have many similar interests, she's absolutely gorgeous, seriously: a total catch on all angles. My dumb ass decided to ask her out on a date today and, well, she responded with the importance of our friendship and how she wouldn't want to ruin that. <sigh> I've been rejected before, and I'm sure it'll happen a million more times in my life, but god dammit, I was hoping for this one to NOT be...... Being shot down is a part of dating life, I know - I just need to not get my hopes up so much. How the hell do people do that when they like someone a LOT??
I guess I need to really make a change in lifestyle: serious diet change and lots of exercise. Then at least the physical attraction part might be less of an issue.
Anyway, it's time to seriously catch up on some missed sets.
