Next week is going to be a doosey.. See, I've been working at a very well-known (Go Dawgs! - ahem) university these past 5 months and I was hired on a 6-month assignment - basically a "try before you buy" kind of thing.. This next week is the week that I'll get my perm-hire approval (which I've been told is not a problem and that I would have a REALLY good Turkey-Day, so I'm not even a little worried about it. But still, it'll be nice to have a little more of a sense of being there for good.
Speaking of Turkey-Day.. My Mom got a new job last month and she's been running absolutely ragged ever since. 14 hour days, 6 days a week.. But, she loves it and really feels a sense of accomplishment, so I'm happy for her all the way. However, she usually makes the Thanksgiving feast and this year, she has zero time to dedicate to it. So, we all offered to pitch-in and make everything separate and then we'd all meet at someone's house. My Mom had an even better idea. It seems Black Angus has a Turkey-Day all-you-can-eat feast for all of $13.99 per person. Hmmmmm, I'm sure they don't do mashed tatoes like my Mom, but it'll be fun. :> Believe it or not, we're all quite excited to do something a little different this year.
More later..

We're playing in Portland this weekend but I had to pull all the songs that make me work hard. Even with that I will probably be shitty...After that I doubt we will play until next year in Seattle... We are getting some new booking agent so we will see what comes up...How's the job at the W?
