I've been thinking a lot, as I am sure everyone has, today of the attack on the twin towers. They say that it was one of those events that you will remember exactly where you were when you first heard about it. That is so true. I was home getting ready to go to work, watching The Today show (love Katie). I actually saw the second plane hit. It was stunning as in You could not even move or think, just hurt and afraid ans confused. I went over to my mom's and got her up out of bed. I told her you have to come see this. We watched and cried together when they fell. We had just said what if they fall and then they did. When I got to work at the slave job I had, they had set up a big screen TV so everyone could watch. It seemed that I spent most of my shift there. Everyone was glued to the TV for days.

We all came together that day. I really felt the feeling of being one country on that day. It didn't matter who, what, color, religion, country, sex, anything we were Americans.

I feel that now the way the country is divided and watching people die everyday in Iraq is an insult to all of the people who died there that day. And all of the heros that saved people that day. I felt an incredible need to be there and help, but was needed to stay home. I really regret not making the sacrifice to go.

Today will be a day of sorrow and reflection. We will never get rid of the people who did this if we do not come back together as a country and stop letting the government take away our freedoms.
