Also, now posted with an edit...heh...
Ok, so I am a shy, socially awkward, insecure person...yeah...Well, awhile back I went to Carrabba's and there was this waiter there that I kinda liked, but I am never the type to give my number out. My leo pride is too fragile to handle the the embarassment and rejection so ya know.
Well I made the mistake of going with my uncle out there. He's gay, and I told him he would enjoy all the eye candy, plus happy hour, however, he knew I kinda had a crush on 1 of the waiters.
So we go, and I have a very obvious taste in guys, so it wasn't too hard to tell which one I kinda fancyed. And my uncle is very upfront, blunt, and aggressive, but he couldn't get me to give him my number.
He wasn't our waiter either, and most of the time he was on the other side of the restaurant.
So, my uncle grabs a cocktail napkin and writes my name and phone number down, and I am like OMG well at least write my email address down, too, because that is easier for me, and wait until I am not right around when you do it so I can avoid the embarassment as badly.
However, to my "luck" he just happens to have to come over to our area, so my uncle didn't even have to get up, he just turned around, handed him the napkin, and was like this is from her.
Needless to say my face turned so red, I started cupping my hands over my face, and was like OMG I am so sorry, ugh oh god... and when he realized what it was, he chuckled and was like "aaww no, no don't be embarassed, no..aaww..no I'm flattered, really, no and I will call you." And then he left.
So I am thinking, oh great, he feels bad for me 'cause I was so embarassed, and my uncle was actually starting to question his sexual orientation because of the way he was saying he was flattered...Like 2 minutes later he comes back over to the table, lays down a napkin and says, "here so you don't feel so bad, here is my number, too, but I have to go back to work." and he leaves me his number....
Ok, so yeah, I'm a little confused now. My uncle said guys don't do that, that he has to be interested because there was no point in having to give me his number, too...I mean neither my uncle nor I was certainly expecting it.
However, I was told since he did give me his number, too, that it is now my job to call him first I don't know I don't like playing these rules, but I did call him today (this took place Friday), but I got voicemail. I did leave a message, but I am not going to get my hopes up that he calls me back.
Ugh...Someone shoot me...

:::EDITED FOR YOUR UPDATE::: The waiter guy did call. Uumm...He said he will call me next weekend to possibly get together to do something, so who knows...
