Well Christmas is over. I didn't get much, and I didn't get anything exciting to write about either. So I wont even bother going into that. I am not a materialistic person, I am really not, but this time next year, I am making it my goal to find someone who cares enough about me to take interest and I can connect with enough that they get me something I can get excited about.
I try so hard to get people things that I think they will really like. I don't think people put much thought into buying things for me. I end up getting things that don't match my personality or have no meaning to them whatsoever.
I know it is the thought that counts. And that is the whole point...They don't put any thought into the things they buy for me.
My family does this name drawing where you draw a name and buy for the person you draw. Last year my cousin Dana had my name and she got me this standing lamp with a lava lamp inside it...I guess it was cool to look at, but what the hell was I going to do with it, more or less put it. This year was worse, my cousin Josh and his wife got me this little shell thing that is 2 seashell halves that are wired together to make a cheap little purse, though it has no strap, and this necklace they just thought looked cool, had a chick on it in front of a tree. They had no idea what it meant or represented.
1 I don't care much for jewelry. I wear my 1 celtic knot neckalce, and a toe ring. Other than that...And what am I going to do with the seashell thing?
I had the same problem with my ex, Tommy. Last year for Christmas he was telling me how he bought his mom one of those reindeer you put candy in and you lift it's tail and it shits the candy, and she loved it. I was like that's fine, as long as you didn't get me one. He got all upset, because he did get me 1. He thought I would find it so extremely hilarious and would love it.........
For our 1 year anniversary...He bought himself a Gameboy Advance SP to which he didn't need his Gameboy Advance anymore, so he gave that to his little brother, to which his little brother didn't need his gameboy color anymore, so for our anniversary, he gave me his little bother's gameboy color....
On occasion the shedevil would get me something I liked...She did get me Sting.
Just frustrates me because I try so hard to please everyone else, and I put so much thought into the things I do, but I don't even get nearly half of that back from my friends or family in return.
Ugh, I have to run...I wish I could finish my rant. Maybe later.
