Reaching out to people I don't know, who are often half my age or younger, to offer moral support to those with low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, etc., is a bit like throwing coins off a bridge. You usually never know if they are received or if they help at all. And yet I keep doing it, because I've noticed that SG is a refuge of sorts for many people that deal with these issues. If someone who I have seen naked (in photos) cries out for help, I cannot not respond. Do ignore those cries would be unconscionable to me. What makes it worth it are the few who have responded, letting me know that my words did indeed help (I won't name names; you know who you are). It is a joy to me to see a person that was in the darkest depths find their way out into the daylight and continue to grow and thrive. So, while it may be sappy, I send my love to all of SG and my deepest hope that you find happiness and your heart's desires.
