1) Today, my goal was to clean and cook. I "spot decluttered" the downstairs rooms, cleaned the kitchen, did most of the laundry, did one round of dishes, grocery shopped, made an awesome black bean soup, and make a(nother) batch of roasted vegetable stock. I also convinced my son, G, to dust for me. Tomorrow's goals: clean the kitchen again (post-cooking), finish the laundry, make a batch of honey-garlic chicken in the slow-cooker, and maybe start sweeping and mopping the downstairs floors. I have gaming tomorrow, though, so that last might not happen until Monday.
2) Thanks to my horror movie obsession over the last 5 years, I am now pretty burned out on watching movies, even movies I want to see. For 2016, I intend to focus on books, e-books, radio, and podcasts. It's shameful, but I have never listen to a podcast before today. Today, I downloaded the app on my ancient iPhone 4 and subscribed to about a dozen channels. I started listening to Welcome to Night Vale and I am definitely hooked. I see some serious binge-listening in my future.
3) There is a very slight chance that my ex-wife's china cabinet, which has been living in my house for the last 2 years, may finally be going away. K messaged me and said she may have a buyer and could she (the buyer) meet A (K's husband) at my house in Tuesday, when A comes to pick up G. As much as I really don't want A in my house (we're in a custody action, and I don't really trust him in my house), I want that damn china cabinet out of here more. So, here's to hoping.
