My kid, who lives with me most of the time, if going to be spending the next week with her mom on the occasion of her grandmother coming to visit. Her mom was supposed to pick her up at lunchtime, so I took an early lunch so I could see her and say goodbye before she left. But mom came early, so by the time I got home she was already gone. I miss her already. I suppose it sounds silly, since it's just for a few days, but I am really close with my kid and I am going to miss her a lot.
