What up folks?
I have been nonexistant for quite some time. as I think I said in my last journal, My work has been eating up a lot of my time, and my mental energy the last few months.
Good News
There will be a shift in my job: Going from crazy-complex difficult job that controls me, to a more managable job that I can control. I'll be processing images for use on webpages, like, 500+ a month. since it's work that requires photoshop at all times, I'm pretty certain that I'll be able to control the job in stead of the job controlling me.
Hopefully, then I'll be able to keep my work week to 40 hours or less, that will allow a few things: 1) free time, and 2) a social life? GASP! the downside is that it might take 4-6 weeks for this transition to take place. I have to train someone to do my job, then basically create my own work and task schedule and that will be hectic for a while.
Right now I am in Tennessee, visiting my two good friends Mike and Abi. I haven't seen these guys for like, 5-6 years, and it's been a very relaxing time so far. I got a little stuffy, and I hope it's just a temporary thing.
A good thing is that Mike and Abi are two really talented and constantly creative people. After being stuck for months in an environment that kills creativity instead of nurturing it, it's a welcome change of pace.
Hopefully this vacation will actually fix something that's been wrong the last few months.
OK, well, I am going to get something to eat right now. Til next time, Party on Dudes, and be excellent to each other!
