With very little exageration, I went through hell yesterday. Two days ago I felt the oncoming of a cold, so I made my usual cold-preventing measures...bottle of DayQuil and NyQuil, tissues, OJ and soup to last two days. usually kills it dead.
Oh how wrong I was. around 2 oClock yesterday I lost the ability to keep track of time. I only remember fragments of what happened.
The one constant, was this searing, pressing, pain that did not stop.
(usually when i have a headache, a bad one....I can find ONE position to lie/sit in where the pain is reduced a lot...then I can usually fall asleep and the pain is either gone or lessened a LOT when I wake up)
That didn't happen. the pain was intense, unrelenting, and merciless. If I ate or drank, it felt worse... and it made me feel nauseated. If I sat/stood up, pain. if the lights were on, pain. if the lights were OFF, pain. lying down, ice pack or no ice pack, open windows or heater on, wet towel or no wet towel...pure fucked-up-ness.
I lost time, apparently around 10pm I woke up. which was odd, because waking up meant I was sleeping, and sleeping meant that the pain had subsided long enough for me to get knocked out. My Ma came by around 8:30 and found me. She had some heavy hitting pain releiver, and force fed me fluids. aparenly I was delierious. She said she was one step away from taking me to the hospital.
What a fucking day. I still feel like shit, but at least I am AWARE of my surroundings and can comprehend things. and my headache isn't here. I'm still expelling two times my body weight in snot, and everything ELSE in my body is broken, but my mind is clear.
