Got back from the last day of Hellfest. went with about 40 flyers, came home with 10.
Stupid me though...when I got there realized that I forgot to bring TAPE! and there was no re-entry to the grounds...so I was in there with no adhesive... I had to be a sneaky monkey...
I went around and found stray piles of free stickers. long wide ones. I tore em up into little strips and used em to hang my flyers up.
I feel kinda guilty about it all...frankenstiening somoene elses's promotional tool to post up my own... I realized after a while that everyone pretty much did that...there were "This band at Stage C at X oclock" written on the back of other band's fliers...so I guess I'm in the clear.
I think they were a success, but I'll really know for sure if I starte getting emails for flyer orders. Fingers crossed.
It was a nice dry sunny day. It felt like I was in a Spaghetti WEstern for a good part of it. Bright sun, lots of dust kicked up. I was walking down this alley with lots of Porta-potties, and I saw a guy I swear was one of my friends from Highschool. He Sort of looked just like him, we sort of stared at each other for about 20-30 seconds, and we proceeded to walk right past each other.
I hope I didn't piss him off or anything.
I met Hel, Zarina and Isobel! There was a Suicide Girls Table there! They kick ass! Hel taught me how to spell her name ( finally got it right) , got some signatured automographs, and we were all united in our annoynace with the fellows playing baseball with the skate decks and velcro tennis balls.
Oh, and I totally suck..I must to apologize to Zarina, When I was introducing my friend...my Mind TOTALLY STALLED...and couldnt get my mouth to speak her name...I just stammered like an idiot. I totally suck! Sorry....
Good day though. Now I figure I'm going to watch my newly aquired copy of "Cowboy Bebop: Knockin on Heaven's Door"! Wonderful delicious 2 hours of goodness (yeah, I know the US version is called "Cowboy Bebop the Movie", but how fucking un-original is that? the Japanese title is much better)
OK, off to bed now. Nighty Night Kids...
