In 2009, and 2010, the website Screwattack.com (not a porn site) held a conference called "Screwattack Gaming Convention." This conference quickly grew too large for them to handle, and they just had to stop. So for 2011, and 2012, there was no SGC. BUT a few days ago they just succeeded in funding a Kickstarter to get SGC 2013 goin! So in the summer of 2013, there will be an SGC!

For those of you that don't know, SGC is basically just thousands of gamers hanging out and partying. A MASSIVE GAMER PARTY. Entrance for the entire weekend will be $30, but as of now they don't have a date or venue set (seen as how they just got funded a few days ago). But its guaranteed to be in the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area.
I will for sure be road tripping it out from Vancouver to be there. I would love to see some SG members out there!, Hell, it would be cool to see some SuicideGirls there!
Also if you've never heard of Screwattack.com definitely go check it out! Whats their deal? Well their website is partially what you normally see at any video game website, like IGN. You have news and trailers. BUT what makes Screwattack so special is that its one small group of people running the show. And they publish original videos every day.
Also their crew is made up of many great personalities! I can list the entire crew off the top of my head... Stuttering Craig, Pro Jared, Chad, Ben , Bryan, Lauren, Drake, Sean, Sam, and the interns Chaz, and Shelby.
They don't just have original shows created by their own crew, but they also publish shows from their 'partners.' Like "Brentalfloss," "The Completionist," "Game Theory," "The Game Overthinker," and more.
Some of their original series' include:
--"Sidecrollers" which was the podcast that Screwattack started with many years ago! Now its a full videocast.
--"The Best ever" which is interviews with the crew members discussing what they things the best ever of a certain topic is.
--They do mini reviews of retro games called "Video Game Vault's."
--Every weekday they have a news update video called "Hard News."
--One of their most popular shows is "Death Battle," which is a take on "Deadliest Warrior" except this is fictional characters from cartoons, comics and games, they're wonderfully animated too.
--Every weekday at 230pm CST, they do an hour long live-stream where they just play some games and talk with you, called "Screwin Around." These streams are then archived on the site to watch whenever you have time!
--One of my favorites, each episode under 90 seconds, "Newsroom" unfortunately named the same as a new HBO show, but I'm sure this will last longer.
--A ton of other things too.
So if you're a game nerd, you should check out Screwattack.com! I would love to be able to talk to you about them!
