Ahh booking a tour. 101 THings are getting closer and my excitement level is building.
Now that the band has a record deal and national distribution and a new album coming in Feb.
So after 10 fucking years of playing in SHIT bands, and learning the hard way, how to fuckin do anything in music, I'm going to be hitting the road with MY OWN band not on some regular DIY booked stunt, but with support from a label! Posters, press releases, press kits, fancy band photographs and interviews in the cites we are playing. Oh jesus and mary jesus joseph it doesn't any get any better!
While we don't have a booking agent yet, certainly playing to several "markets", to which we are doing FOUR US tours this year, and building fanbases in all of those cities is going to look very nice on the resume for agents. In our hometown, not only are we a popular band, we have the biggest draw of any band in our area. Yes folks, that's the reality of it. "with great power comes great responsibility"...hahaha yeah the responsibility to GET THE FUCK OUT.
Anyways folks...WE ARE WAR!
We are at war with all the elitist artfags in downtown New London that won't book my band because "punk is for kiddies"(when I was in europe all summer touring with a "kiddie band" and they were at home listening to sonic youth only dreaming of those places) and the fuckin MORE PUNK THAN THOU kids in Meriden whom I've already told I"m never booking their bands again.
We are at WAR with all the emo bands that are screaming for attention. Unfortunately their sound just blends in with the rest of the myspace static.
We are at WAR with everybody in society that says "get a real job kid, rock and roll can't pay the bills".
We are at WAR with all of the competing tours that play the same nights as we do across town.
PREPARE FOR BATTLE.
