Yesterday, as I was leaving class, I saw two birds that had fallen out of their nest lying on the pavement by the bicycle rack. One was dead and the other was dying. I moved them, I guess so no one would accidentally step on them or something.
Less than ten minutes ago, walking from the seminar building to the library, a bird fell out of the sky right in front of me. It landed on its back and was kind of fluttering around, but by the timeI got something to turn it over with, it had stopped moving and its eyes had half closed.
Is this some weird omen, or do birds just fall out of the sky a lot this time of year?
