Update time. I really am going to try and be better about this. Not that anyone really reads this thing.
I watched an episode of "Spider Man and his Amazing Friends" tonight. It ruled, it had the Xmen in it, and i am a giant nerd.
This past week of no work has been just what i needed. I've been able to sleep late, stay up past 10 (praise be to Yahweh!), and generally not stress over stuff. It's made my relationship with my girlfriend better, and i'm overall just happier in general. I think quitting my job was a good move. The only thing i slightly worry about now is getting a new job, so i can have money. But i've got a few hundred bucks in savings, and i'll get one last paycheck this week, so i should make it ok for awhile.
I think on Thursday i'm going to head to Glen Burnie, MD, to visit the US Games Workshop studio. I've been doing a couple projects for their White Dwarf magazine, and the manager of the local GW store is headed up and invited me along. So maybe i can talk to some folks and let them know i'm interested in working for the studio so they'll keep my name in mind. If not, i'll continue to do projects for them, and maybe try to get in that way. It's worked for others, so who knows?
I was discussing how easy it is to be really retarded rich with a friend today. The problem that i have, which is keeping me from retiring at 30, is that i lack the relatively small amount of money required to create a Scrooge McDuck level of wealth. Somehow or another, i need access to, say, $60,000. From that i can make a million, and with a million i never work again. So someone point me in the direction of 60 grand.
I'm considering buying a $5/week subscription to the Va Lottery.
In other news, i was at Sharper Image and test drove a massage chair. It ruled, and it will be mine. Only $800.
This week i: get a new shed from my folks. plant grass seed in my backyard. dig up 5 or 6 bushes back there. get my trees trimmed waaaaaay back. send out my resume at least 5 more times. paint up models to sell on Ebay. impress the GW studio with my Chaos Dwarf conversions. do at least 45 minutes of cardio a day for 6 days. practice bridging for a pin. and as always, be totally sweet.
