What a motherfucking weekend.
Me and a couple of the guys went to NC saturday for a show. We were stoked for it cause it had been awhile, and we were set to make some money for the trip. The ride down was fine, but about 5 minutes from the place the van overheated and we had to stop. We looked everything over, couldn't figure out an issue, but by that time the van had cooled back off, so we drove on.
The show was ok. Our matches were the highlight of the night. Tried out the Octopus hold variation and the Crucifix Driver, both went well. The crowd was about 90-100 strong, and dead as they could be. But no worries, we did our thing and got some reaction, which is the best we could hope for.
Then we got paid.
We were supposed to get $200 for the four of us, instead we got $50 for the four of us. Needless to say, it barely covered gas down there. So we bailed, a little frustrated at this point. As we head down the road, the car overheats again, and we have to stop again. Nothing seems the matter, so we pile back in, note the car has cooled down, and ride on.
2 miles later we're on the side of the road again. We goto Denny's, see a guy who was at the show who recognizes us, and it turns out he's a mechanic. He offers to help remove our thermostat so we can get home, but when he sees the car, he tells us there's no way we're getting it out tonight. It's stuck up under a whole bunch of other shit. So we decide it's about time for a hotel. The cheapest fleabag hotel ever created by man. It was rough. We decided that we would try to seek out a mechanic or an Auto Zone the next day to get us home.
Well, we woke up, got ready....and it was snowing out. We headed out, and we couldn't run the heat, so our windows got crazy fogged up. In the snow. On the interstate. Stopping every 3 miles or so. We almost died like 7 times. Finally, somehow, we made it about 16 miles down the road to a mid size town where there was a Wal Mart and an Auto Zone. Byt the way, don't go to wal mart for anything bigger than a tire change. They can't do it.
Regardless, we head to Auto Zone. We run into a mechanic there who tells us he can pull the thermostat for $150. we don't have that kind of money. So, long story short, we called a ride to drive 2 hours and come get us. We didn't make it home until 7pm Sunday night.
Worst. Trip. Ever.

I don't know if I could pull off Dio... that's not a feat many can perform. I suppose I could always do my best. We'll see how the selection is.
