The new Social Distortion album is amazing. It's no White Light, but it's still the best album i've bought in years. It sold me completely on the idea of going to see them the 18th, and since Jon will be out of town the 19th, i know i'm not working. D.C., here i come. Sweet.
The past couple of days have been pretty intense. Not a lot of sleep, but a lot of running around and/or dealing with idiocy. I've gotten a fair amount of stuff done, but i just need to catch up on my sleep....something i can hopefully do tomorrow.
Today was a job interview for that random Records Technician job. I think it went fairly well, though it was kind of odd interviewing for a legit office position. It's hard to read whether you're giving a good answer to the random questions that are thrown at you. I think i did well, maybe i cam across as a little cocky. But whatever, we'll see.
Trying to sell the Mamiya. If it goes, i'll pick up a Pentax 67, and start shooting street stuff again, hopefully. It shoots a lot like a big 35mm, so i think that'll be light years easier than the mamiya. Then i'll build myself a darkroom and be able to print again and reek of chemicals, and basically i'll spend all spring locked in a room by myself. Mostly because Kelsey is headed to Ireland or Prague. And i'm not stoked about it. That's all i've got to say about that.
We've set a date for our next show....Nov. 19th. We confirmed this with the venue, and now all we need to do is line up bands and get our card and matches straight. Oh, and refurbish the ring some, it needs some work. Some people just got cut from the roster for fucking up, and i'm not concerned with it at all. Fucking. Blood. Everywhere. MURDER. Andrewb, i expect you to be there. In fact, i expect all you mooks within driving distance to be there. Mooks.
It's been an interesting week for relationships in general. Gaining friends, losing friends and wierdness with friends. I dunno, kid. I'm going to sleep.
