Happy Birthday Morrissey...
If you're a big Smiths/Morrissey fan like I am, you'll be celebrating with me at Morrissey's 49th Birthday Party on Thursday, May 22nd at the House of Blues Sunset Strip Hollywood. It's a charity event featuring the the amazing Morrissey/The Smiths tribute band the Sweet and Tender Hooligans. (The band donates to The Lange Foundation, a local animal charity dedicated to placing homeless dogs and cats in loving homes, tickets can be purchased at this link.
For your amusement, check out the fake Morrissey Beer labels I made below. I made stickers from these graphics once and stuck them on my beer at a show in San Diego. When asked where I got them, I replied, "Oh, they did this as a joke and gave them out backstage."
Okay, I never got backstage But I did spot Moz at the Cat & Fiddle in Hollywood once but couldn't get up the nerve to talk to him. Oh well.
I wish they did make Morrissey Beer, I'm sure it would be a charming buzz...
