Off to Sundance...
Well, I'm making the annual trek to Park City, Utah for Sundance. This is my 10th or 11th year. I have to double check my t-shirt collection to see what my first shirt says.
Anyway, I cannot wait for "Choke," based on the Chuck Palahniuk book starring Sam Rockwell about sex addicts. Will it be as explicit as the book? What sex acts will they get away with? Does Sam show his "Rockwell"?
"Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden" probably has most buzz. Morgan Spurlock's movie is said to have either discovered where Osama is hiding out. And he supposedly got an interview. I'll know after the screening.
Filmmakers David & Nathan Zellner's film called "Goliath" premieres on Monday and I plan to see it. It should be excellent. The Zellner brothers have had a film at Sundance 4 years in a row now, but this is their first feature at Sundance.
Slamdance is premiering a documentary about filmmaker William Castle that has a lot of buzz, and considering that last year that "The King of Kong," a doc which has gone onto huge success, also premiered at Slamdance, I expect good things from this doc.
And if you check out Film Threat starting today through the 27th, we'll have streaming video LIVE from the Film Threat condo with reports constantly, 24/7. That's right, a web cam in the condo that will likely catch all the intimate and embarrassing moments. So, if you want to hear about Sundance, or you are a fan of film or a stalker, this is the perfect way to see the real goings-on in Park City. Or at least the Film Threat condo. And check out Film Threat's Guide to Sundance if you are going and need any advice.
I plan to keep warm, see movies, and spell my name in yellow in the snow.
