I love the Halloween season! It's better than Christmas and comes without all the stress of buying presents and family gatherings. It's the only time the manliest of men can wear women's lingerie and heels and no one cares. For me, it's like a month-long celebration of all things horror and gore-related.

My hometown of Royal Oak, Michigan really loves to celebrate the season and this newspaper clipping expresses some residents enthusiasm...

When I was a kid, I did something similar with some pals where we hung a dummy from a tree with a pulley and quickly dropped it onto cars turning onto our street. No one laughed but us as we ran away, eventually having to outrun the cops for this prank. I was eleven at the time.

Working on my costume and I plan to either be Flash Gordon from the 1982 movie or Johnny Napalm from Guitar Hero. I'll post pics soon.
