My new home...




I absolutely love it here. The weather could be nicer and I could have a few more quarters in my back pocket, but I'm a survivor and I will figure all this out. My apartment is a dream, I live a block away from Prospect Park, in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I live with two randoms room mates that are never home, but they are great people. I spend my days wandering the streets, riding the subway, enjoying the trains, and staring off into space. I sit on my roof a lot and watch the sun set over the city, and the pigeons keep me company. I walk my friends puppy through the park every afternoon while they're at work, and it's one of the greatest parts of my day. She's a baby pit bull and her name is Lila and this is what she looks like:

We had the shoot late-night at Drew's pool he manages and sits kids in time-out at. It's ancient, circa 1938. A guy once got dead on the deck of the cabanas we shot in. He was old and living in them during a harsh winter and got drunk and died and was found frozen solid to the floor. So it goes.

What you all can't see in the photos is the insane hell storm that was wrathed upon all of us like 20min into the shoot. As Phil would say, "it was IWRESTLEDABEARONCE weather". Still, it was one of the funnest shoots we've been on, despite the torrential typhoon.

Special thanks to Danielle for coming out to the shoot after having never experienced a Choonimal or it's makers, all the face12 homeboys, and of course Phil who does an amazing job capturing souls with his technology.

AND we got accepted to vend at ALL POINTS WEST 2009! That is SO HUGE for us, they only accept 50 vendors, and I assume 100's applied becasue it's one of the biggest festivals in the country, and I still can't believe we got in.

- The Beastie Boys, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, National, Fleet Foxes, Q-tip, The Pharcyde, Tool, My Bloody Valentine, Gogol Bordello, Arctic Monkys, Tokeyo Police Club, Kool Keith, ...And You Will know us by the trail of dead, Coldplay, MGMT, The Black Keys, The Silversun Pickups, Mogwai, We Are Scientists, The Gaslight Anthem are playing along with many others. Holy shit this weekend will slay.

Ummm I'm designing a ton of cool shit right now for Choonimals that I will show you later so this blog doesn't become longer than that China wall.
